Heavenly Petalite Ja-pan, also known as Ja-pan #44, is a bread created by Azuma Kazuma in Episode 21. It is a Ja-pan that sends the eater to heaven for a short period of time. This is because it has a taste to "die for." Unfortunately, the effect happens only once and cannot be done again no matter how many times you eat the bread according to Azuma in Episode 22.

When both Ryou Kuroyanagi and Dave Hashiguchi ate Ja-pan #44, they passed out and die; Dave stood up and, instead of shouting, lost his soul from his body. Their breathing and pulse stopped. The audience, including Azuma's contender Kai, were shocked by the judges' deaths. Kirisaki urgently called the ambulance to revive them, while he was growing an ire towards the responsibility for their passing: Azuma was shown lack of empathy as he observed their body. While enraged Kai condemned Azuma for putting poison on the latter's bread as it could mean that the boy had killed the judges, Kirisaki demanded an explanation for his actions, lest he'll call the police to arrest him. However, Kazuma assumed the audience that both Ryou and Dave weren't dead yet as they were in heaven because of how delicious his bread was.
Meanwhile, Ryou's soul left his body, thanking Azuma for the bread that made his final happiest moment to do. He and Dave experienced the beautiful otherworld: full of flowers, grass and woodland animals. In heaven, both of them found a cabaret, the stopover for new souls. The bunny-hooded female entertainers flirted Ryou and Dave invited them to the club. Inside, they were hanging out with drinks and other treats and Ryou observed his woman named Satsuki with bear resemblance to his first girlfriend Kathy. When he accepted her as his new lover, Satsuki had a confession that Ryou wasn't dead yet (and his soul disappearing from the cause.) She even mentioned that an elderly newcomer named Umasaburou Azuma had been with her earlier before he was brought back to Earth. Realizing that he was not dead, Ryou kissed her in final time before he disappeared, reviving his body and soul along with Dave.
Awakening from death, Ryou immediately declares Kazuma as winner, and he doesn't have to eat Kai's Super Vapor Action Croissant 648 which won't sent him back to heaven; even Dave shares the same opinion when he likes Ryou's nearest girl. He then scolds Kai for attempting to eat Kazuma's bread out of misery, as he wanted to use it for research and not to let anyone eat it no matter what. Then, without being noticed, Dave steals Ryou's bread and quickly ditches Pantasia with the bulldozer. Ryou greedily demands the security to chase Dave over that bread.
However, Kazuma explains that whoever wants to eat Ja-Pan #44 again will be likely going back to heaven once more until they get sick of eating it many times, as effects won't last long.
